FAREWELL

I must
put my anger away
lest I become just like you ….
a bitter soul
a bully
so insecure
yet hiding behind the facade
that you’re so strong
so powerful
so dominating
so fearless

But you’re full of fear
afraid to acknowledge
or deal with
the deep hurt someone caused you
long ago
that turned you into such a cold, uninviting soul ….
A monster
dressed in all black
all the time
to match your gloomy spirit

Your presence is like a black storm cloud
that I allowed to drift in
and overtake my sunshine
my spirit
my smile
and my sincerity
You rained on my parade long enough
….Now I’m glad you’re gone
I’m glad that dark storm cloud
…. YOU ….
has been removed from my life

FAREWELL
